ATTLEBORO- Chester Emile Dugas, 78, of Attleboro, passed away on Saturday, March 10th, 2018, at his home, surrounded by the love and care of his family. He was the dedicated husband to Patricia Louise (Proulx) Dugas of Attleboro.

He was born on June 27th, 1939 in Scitico, Connecticut and was a lifelong resident of Attleboro. Chester was the loving son of Irene (Potvin) Dugas and the late Arthur J. Dugas.

Throughout his professional career, Chester was employed at Mossberg Press Steel/Stamping and Reels where he was a tool setter and Swank Incorporated where he was a mold maker.

Chester was an avid outdoorsman who in his spare time, enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, boating and riding his scooter on warm sunny days.

In addition to his wife, Chester is survived by his 4 proud daughters, Patricia Salvas and her husband Laurence Sr. of South Attleboro, Debra Tanguay and her husband Kevin of Seekonk, Ann Dore and her husband William Sr. of Attleboro and Marie Powers and her husband Brian of Attleboro; his 5 grandchildren, Steven, Thomas, Laurence Jr., William Jr., and William III; his 2 great-grandchildren, Conner and Jeremy; his half-sister, Dorothy Petty; and also many friends and extended family members.

Chester is predeceased by his siblings Arthur Dugas Jr. and Ermina Hart.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, March 17th from 1:00 – 4:30 p.m., immediately followed by a memorial service at 4:30 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street Attleboro.

Burial will take place at a later date.
