The two Proulx sisters, Chantal and Cécile, and Ginette Bonnallie are the first three people who joined the Association des familles Proulx d’Amérique this week as part of our recruitment campaign launched last Sunday. They deserve a contribution holiday for 2019-2020.

Congratulations.

The two sisters were sponsored by their brother Charles who even recruited a third person, but who is not part of the leading pack. Nevertheless, Mr. Charles will take a contribution holiday in 2019-2020.

All those who, like him, recruit three members by the end of the campaign will enjoy the same privilege. So…!

Mrs Cécile and Mrs Chantal are proud descendants of Jean Prou and Jacquette Fournier. And, as we guessed, they live in the Bas-du-Fleuve and on the Côte-du-Sud. For it was in Montmagny that the founding family settled around 1670.

The first, now retired, ended her career serving a religious community. Her sister Chantal is secretary to the Quebec government.

Mme Ginette Bonnallie

For her part, Mrs. Bonnallie is a Proulx by her mother who descends from René and Catherine Brunet who settled around 1820 in Deschambault. Retired from Cégep de St-Jérôme, she was a technician in the language laboratory. She writes: “I am very happy to be part of the Proulx family association and I look forward to learning more about my ancestors. It’s really interesting. She’s quite right!

The recruitment campaign continues. Do like our three winners. Register by clicking on the following link: Become a member
