The journal of our Association was born on September 19, 2009, so 19 years ago. The next issue is expected in October.
For the past 19 years, our newspaper has been the privileged instrument to make known, in a small way, the rich historical and patrimonial heritage of the six Proulx families who have populated Quebec, Canada and the United States for over 375 years.
I am a retired journalist. I have often had the happy temptation, which I succumbed to, to offer some of the texts that have appeared in our newspaper on the Proulx of yesterday and today. I am pleased to do so.
And now I've recently taken on the task of writing it. It's a challenge that can be risky! Will I receive enough text to "complete" the next issue?
O surprise. I am seeing a resurgence. Several of our members have responded eagerly to my recent call to contribute articles to the next issue, which will be published in a month.
This issue, as you will see, will tell us exciting and varied stories.
But already it is worth thinking about the spring 2023 issue. It comes back quickly. New editor's anxiety! So, beloved readers, make yourselves the next editors of the next issue right now!
For the nostalgic, the curious or the new members, you can see here this number 1 of Figure de Prou. You will also find the other editions published over the years.
