Mr. Jacques Proulx, one of the great names of Quebec radio, died last Saturday in Montreal, aged 78, following a long illness. He had just spent three weeks at CHUM's Hôpital Saint-Luc.
Jacques Proulx made a name for himself as host of the morning show on Montreal radio station CKAC, from 1968 until the mid-1980s. His radio career spanned 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Barrette, his three daughters: Christiane, Marjolaine, Caroline, three grandchildren and his brother Gilles, also a well-known radio host.
The family will receive condolences at Purification-de-la-Bienheureuse Vierge Marie parish, rue Notre Dame, Repentigny, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.. The liturgical ceremony will follow.

Mr. Proulx was a descendant of Jean Prou(st) & Jacquette Fournier.
