Claude Proux and Élisabeth Robidas-Manseau (1692-1772) are the “father and mother” of all Proulx born in Baie-du-Febvre, in several surrounding municipalities and even in Estrie. Through their daughters, they are the ancestors of the descendants of Gabriel Benoit, Jean-Baptiste and Louis Lefebvre Descôteaux, Jean Vacher Lacerte, Joseph and Gabriel Allard, Jean-Baptiste Pinard and Pierre Janelle.
- Claude Proux is the son of Jean & Catherine Pinel and founders of this line and
- Élisabeth Robidas-Manseau is the daughter of Jacques and Louise de Guitre, founders of this line.
The conference will take place:
- November 9th
- at 7:30 pm
- in the basement of the church of Baie-du-Febvre.
Admission is free.
Jean-Pierre Proulx is retired. He made a career at the newspaper Le Devoir and the University of Montreal. He has been working for several years on the settlement of Baie-du-Febvre in the 18th century.
