Visit Neuville this summer

Visit Neuville this summer

May 8th, 2016 0 By Jean-Pierre Proulx

Neuville celebrates this summer the 300th anniversary of its convent founded in 1716 by the sisters of the Congrégation Notre-Dame. This is a great opportunity for the descendants of Jean Prou and Catherine Pinel (and all the other Proulx!) To visit this heritage village among the most beautiful in Quebec.

Our two ancestors lived together from 1676 to 1703 and Catherine survived her husband until 1723. Moreover, at 655 rue des Érables, at the eastern entrance of the village, you can admire the magnificent stone house built there probably at the end of the 18th century by Joseph, one of their descendants.
